Graduated from the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute in 1985 with a degree in hydro-aerodynamics. He defended his Ph.D. thesis in 1991, his doctoral dissertation in 2005.
Author of a big number (more than 200) of scientific papers in the field of high performance computing, Big Data, computational fluid dynamics, onboard decision support systems.
Member of three dissertation councils, editorial boards of three scientific journals and permanent program committees of three international conferences. RFBR expert.
Developer and leader of the master’s program “Distributed Computing Technologies”. Teaches courses in high performance computing, algorithms and artificial intelligence techniques.
Head of the Samsung IT Academy laboratory, created at St. Petersburg State University together with Samsung in the field of Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence.
Laureate of the national award “Professor of the Year” in 2018.
