Yuri Hohlov spoke at the plenary session of IT&MM-2025

On March 20–21, 2025, the 14th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Information Technologies and Mathematical Methods in Economics and Management” (IT&MM-2025) was held at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

This annual conference is dedicated to the memory of Anatoly Ivanovich Kitov (1920–2005), a Russian scientist who devoted his life to the formation and development of cybernetics, computer science, information retrieval systems (IRS), algorithmic programming languages, automated control systems (ACS) and their implementation to solve problems of strengthening the defense capability of our state, the national economy of the country, as well as national healthcare and medicine.

Renowned scientists have repeatedly noted A. I. Kitov as a pioneer and uncompromising fighter for cybernetics, computer science and ACS, emphasizing his enormous contribution to the development of these sciences. It is necessary to especially note the scientific and civic courage of A. I. Kitov, who, at the risk of his own career, put forward large-scale projects for managing the national economy and the Armed Forces of the Soviet Union based on new computer technologies. A number of ideas and proposals of A. I. Kitov were ahead of their time by decades.

In essence, A. I. Kitov proposed a global computer network system. Subsequently, it was developed throughout the world and is now known as Grid technologies – the unification of many computing resources to solve problems of a global scale.

On March 20, 2025, a plenary session of IT&MM-2025 was held, dedicated to the consideration of current issues of the creation and use of advanced information technologies and mathematical methods in the field of economics, management and education. The main attention of the event participants was focused on the problems of developing the digital economy and digital business. The following reports were presented at the plenary session:
